The Korean Friendship Association of the UK (KFA UK ) the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea held its 3rd online reading session of the book “ Understanding Korea -volume 9 -Human Rights “ at 1500 hours BST on 24.05.2025 via Telegram . Participating were members of KFA UK and the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea from London, Staffordshire and Scotland . Guests from KFA Andalucia (Spain), KFA Canada , KFA Italy and friends from Turkey.
Dr Dermot Hudson, chairman of KFA UK and chairman of the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea explained that studying the socialist human rights system is very important in order to defend People’s Korea from the slanders of the imperialists .
Dr Hudson read out some passages from the book “ Understanding Korea -Volume 9 Human Rights “.
Participants said that the rights of disabled people were fully ensured . Also that the rights of workers are fully ensured in the DPRK unlike the capitalist west where workers are forced to do more and more work.
Discussion took place about the role of the constitution of the DPRK in upholding human rights and how the legal system in the DPRK works .
Dr Hudson read out the statement of the DPRK Korea Association for Human Rights Studies and the statement “Despicable Nature of Barren Lands of Human Rights”.
Two short videos “We Are the Happiest in the World” and “Ryomyong Street” were shown .
