The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un is opening up a great heyday of strengthening the revolutionary armed forces by organizing and guiding in person the actual war-like drills and training competitions to fully prepare the Korean People’s Army to discharge its mission and play its role as the main force of national defence in any form of threats and emergencies.
According to a decision of the Central Military Commission of the Workers’ Party of Korea, there were conducted a joint strike drill of long-range artillery sub-units of the KPA on the western front and the flying corps of its Air Force in the western area and a large-scale combined air strike drill of the Air Force involving more than 150 fighter planes of different kinds under the guidance of Comrade Kim Jong Un on October 6 and 8, 2022.
The drills served as a historic event which clearly proved the combat strength of the invincible KPA led by Comrade Kim Jong Un.
Researcher Kim Chol Nam at the Academy of Social Sciences said Comrade Kim Jong Un wisely led the nuclear combat forces of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea to maintain the strongest nuclear response posture for safeguarding the dignity and sovereignty of the state, and continued:
“The military drills of tactical nuclear operation units of the KPA including the ballistic missile launching drill simulating the loading of tactical nuclear warhead, the launching drill of tactical ballistic missiles of different kinds and the drill of accurate hitting of super-large multiple rocket launchers and tactical ballistic missiles served as important occasions of proving the combat effectiveness and creditability of our state’s nuclear combat forces in fully prepared posture to strike and annihilate targets as much as they want at any given time and in any places they choose.
In March 2023 alone, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un guided the launching drill of the intercontinental ballistic missile ‘Hwasongpho-17’, a simulated combined tactical drill for nuclear counterattack, a test of major weapons and a firing drill for strategic purpose to train the service personnel of the People’s Army into fighters well-versed in combat action methods according to different combat situations.”
Comrade Kim Jong Un saw that the service personnel of the People’s Army remarkably strengthen their combat capabilities by conducting drills of different branches of arms of the KPA in a war-like atmosphere.
In 2024 he made painstaking efforts to strengthen the artillery forces while guiding the artillery firing drill of large combined units of the KPA, firing drill of the artillery units in the western area which are in charge of an important firing and live artillery firing drill of the 75th-term graduates of O Jin U Artillery Academy.
He also ensured that the training match between the large combined units of tankmen of the KPA and the training of air-borne units of the KPA were organized and conducted under the simulated condition of actual war so as to lead all the soldiers to have confidence and disposition of invincible combatants in the crucible of war-like drills.
His forefront guidance over the special operations units given on several occasions in 2024 and 2025 was a motive force which made it possible to strengthen and develop the special operations forces into the strongest combat group and the core and leading forces of the armed forces of the DPRK
The KPA will powerfully demonstrate its precious name and spirit of sure victory all over the world as an invincible army forever as it is led by Comrade Kim Jong Un.
