Pyongyang, July 18 (KCNA) — The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea and President of the State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, met with the participants in the Eighth Congress of the Socialist Women’s Union of Korea on July 17.
The venue for the photo session was overflowing with the great excitement and joy of women’s union officials and members who were waiting for the moment of glory and happiness, their earnest desire, after attending the significant congress held amid the great interest and congratulation of all other people of the country.
When Comrade Kim Jong Un arrived at the venue, all the participants broke into stormy cheers of “Hurrah!”, looking up to the tender-hearted father who put forward our women before the era and has shown them great trust and love.
An official of the women’s union respectfully presented a bouquet of fragrant flowers to him, representing boundless reverence and best wishes for him.
Comrade Kim Jong Un congratulated the newly elected chairwoman and vice-chairwomen of the Eighth Central Committee of the SWUK, shaking hands with them.
He extended warm greetings of encouragement to the participants, who displayed through the largest-ever gathering in the history of the women’s union the noble loyalty, preeminent revolutionary spirit, inexhaustible might of unity and patriotic enthusiasm of the Korean women unconditionally supporting what the Party is determined to do and faithfully carrying it out and successfully completed the work of the congress.
The past five years which have passed along with the great pioneering period of comprehensive rejuvenation are clearly associated with the devoted efforts of our strongest, steadfast, diligent and resourceful women who dynamically accelerated the advance of the country, he said, adding that the role of the women’s union as educator and organizer and mobilizer obviously proved that when the women unite with a single will and intention and pool their wisdom, strength and enthusiasm, they can surmount any difficulties and realize any ideals.
It is our Party’s highest pride and our state’s great strength to have the women’s organization full of the noble spirit of firmly trusting and following our Party only and passionately loving and defending socialism, a powerful group of women patriots without a parallel in their active role and fighting efficiency, he noted.
Our Party’s great historic cause will be successfully accomplished and our state’s dignity and might more fully demonstrated as our women are adding to beauty and freshness of their families and the society and giving steady continuity to the generation of patriotism and revolution with the noble viewpoint on life intended to place the duty to repay above the right to enjoy and feel a sense of pride of genuine life and joy on the road of patriotism and with the genuine maternal affection, he stressed
The gigantic struggle for transformation in the new era highlights the need to further strengthen the women’s union in charge of a part of the revolution, he said, stating that the women’s union organizations at all levels should first of all concentrate on the ideological education so as to firmly maintain the revolutionary nature, pure mind and beauty of our women who regard the Party’s lines and policies as their faith and advance along only the road indicated by the Party.
He expressed the expectation and belief that all the women’s union officials and members would always keep in mind their missions and duties they assumed before the era and the revolution, their families and society and become genuine patriots making a tangible contribution to the prosperity of the country always with a single mind and intention, and communist mothers and educators bringing their children up to be fine ones. And then he had a photo taken with them.
After the photo session, the participants broke into enthusiastic cheers, expressing their faith and will to firmly unite under the banner of the WPK and greet all happiness and glory under its loving care.
Comrade Kim Jong Un waved back to and extended warm encouragement to the participants who were raising stormy cheers in expression of their ardent loyalty and patriotic enthusiasm.
All the participants hardened their iron will to fully display with redoubled self-confidence and exertion the fighting efficiency of the women’s union in the worthwhile struggle for the prosperity of our great state and the happiness and bright future of the rising generations. -0-
