Pyongyang, November 2 (KCNA) — Kim Jong Sik, first vice department director of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, made public the following press statement “Immutable is our national defence policy to strengthen the nuclear war deterrent with more increasing speed” on November 2:
The enemy countries are going so reckless in their adventurous acts for military confrontation with the DPRK in the closing months of the year.
According to a recent media report of the ROK, the U.S. and the ROK staged in secrecy Iron Mace, military exercises for joint operation of the U.S. nuclear forces and the ROK conventional forces, from September 29 to October 2.
The military drill with an aggressive codename is the most hideous nuclear war rehearsal aimed at using nuclear weapons against the DPRK.
Iron Mace, which has been staged annually since 2024, fully betrays that the U.S. remains unchanged in its wild ambition to stifle the DPRK with nukes and such threats are escalating with each passing day.
What does the U.S. nuclear blackmail indicate?
It clearly proves how just the DPRK is in its efforts for ceaselessly bolstering up its nuclear forces capable of thoroughly coping with such nuclear threats.
In October, the U.S. frantically staged a series of war rehearsals, including the field mobile war drill Hoguk and large-scale combined air drill Freedom Flag, together with its stooges, across the ROK. Such successive maneuvers have seriously violated the security environment of the DPRK.
Worse still, the U.S. dispatched an “instructors’ unit” of the Third Expedition of its marines, the advance force for overseas aggression, to the ROK to stage multi-domain reconnaissance drill for the first time. It is explicitly expressing its stand for confrontation, saying that the drill is aimed at supporting the ROK’s Kill Chain and demonstrates that the U.S. reinforcements can be rapidly deployed on the Korean peninsula in contingency.
Furthermore it was reported that the U.S. air force’s fighters from the U.S. mainland were involved in Keen Sword, large-scale U.S.-Japan joint military exercises staged in Japan, to conduct intensive joint air training day and night from Oct. 19 to 29.
The enemies have intensified its military moves in public or behind closed doors, as evidenced by such dangerous nuclear war rehearsal as Iron Mace and deployment of the reconnaissance force and U.S. mainland-based fighters, reinforcements to be brought to the Korean peninsula in case of emergency.
This underlines the need for the DPRK to contain and control the heinous enemies with more powerful nuclear means.
The reality teaches once again the underlying truth that strength is peace and peace is guaranteed only by strength.
We are full of capability and confidence to counter everything.
We will make every effort to ensure that the country’s nuclear war deterrent defends the sovereignty and security of the state and regional peace in a responsible manner.
This is the basic mission of our nuclear war deterrent.
