The world marveled at the emergence of a new entity in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea(DPRK) on April 25– the one which can firmly guarantee the maritime sovereignty of the country, demonstrating the prestige of a powerful country, indomitable spirit of the Korean people and modernity of the DPRK naval force in its rapid progress.
The Choe Hyon-class multi-mission destroyer Choe Hyon, fitted with super-intensive state-of-the-art offensive weapon systems of Korean style, was laid down within 400-odd days and brought to the proud launching ceremony. This serves as a demonstration of the powerful national strength, as well as a historic declaration of the invincibility and supremacy of the DPRK armed forces capable of completely overwhelming and smashing the forces of enemy states not only on land and in the air but in territorial waters.
The launching ceremony on April 25, the starting point of the independent anti-Japanese armed struggle, shows the unshakable will of the country to build, at the earliest possible date, the super-strong naval forces capable of smashing the den of aggression outside our territorial waters instead of the existing mode of defending the maritime invasion and provocation of the enemy states so as to prevent the repetition of imperialists’ history of aggression when they used to threat and conquer other countries by means of gunboat diplomacy with the sea as a main channel for aggression and plunder.
It is not that easy to possess enough capabilities to cope with aggression of the most barbarous enemy states in the world. It’s a heavy and challenging task for the building of a powerful and prosperous country that others would not dare dream of.
Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, leader of the DPRK and supreme commander of the Armed Forces, is consistently working with all his heart and soul for an exponential increase of the national defense capabilities and the people’s wellbeing, with a firm faith and ardent patriotic intention not to allow any slightest intrusion into the territory directly related with the people’s livelihood.
Thanks to his leadership, our country built the multi-mission destroyer, an ensemble of the state economy and conglomerate of self-defence technology, on its own and put it in the frontline of defending the national sovereignty. Such a destroyer is reportedly able to be built and possessed only by world powers.
The latest warship Choe Hyon is a miraculous fruition of Juche Korean style rose up by the matchless pluck and extraordinary wisdom of respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, who bestowed trust, encouragement and resources on his beloved people and service personnel, not merely by a buoyancy of nature.
Our people have realized their earnest desire for the strongest armed forces to overwhelmingly control the naval supremacy of the arrogant imperialist pirates. With confidence in sure victory, they are now determined to dynamically advance toward the far-reaching goal for an advanced maritime power, thus adding luster to the great Kim Jong Un era, the era of glory.
The working people and service personnel of the DPRK are firmly rallied behind respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, the unparalleled brilliant commander, in the course of building up the strongest arsenal for defending the national sovereignty and interests with rare passion and inexhaustible strength. Our country will soon demonstrate worldwide that Juche Korea will remain powerful forever.
