New Legend of Unryong Hill-from Voice of Korea

There is a tableland called Unryong (Silvery Dragon) Hill in the Komdok area in the northern part of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.

The hill tells a legend that a silvery dragon flew up into the sky in ancient times.

It is one thousand and hundreds of metres above the sea level and one has to pass 55 steep bends to get to its top.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un mounted the high and rugged hill on October 13, 2020.

Saying it would lie heavy on his conscience to build new houses only for the flood victims, he conceived a grand plan to completely change the Komdok area into a mountain gorge city unprecedented in history.

That day he called on officials to build modern houses for 25,000 families in the Komdok area and thus turn it into a model mountain city of the country next to the city of Samjiyon and a mining city. And he gave concrete tasks to change the Komdok area into a mountain gorge city.

Thanks to his devoted efforts, the Komdok area has been completely changed with the building of single-, low- and many-storeyed dwelling houses preserving the regional characteristics

Now the people in the Komdok area are enjoying a happy life in the wonderful mining city.

They say in unison that the great transformation of the Komdok area is another miracle wrought by Kim Jong Un’s love for the people and it has become a new legend of Unryong Hill.
