  There is the Songdowon International Children’s Camp, an extracurricular educational base for schoolchildren, on the east coast of Korea.

  Every element of the wonderful camp is associated with the noble love of the respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un for the children.

  One day in May 2013, he visited the Songdowon International Children’s Camp.

  Looking round different places of the camp, he gave specific instructions for its renovation.

  He asked the accompanying officials if there was a playground. Looking toward the playground, he asked again what kinds of sports the campers did on rainy days.

  In fact, the campers had conducted indoor activities in the hall on rainy days.

  So the children, who are fond of frolicking all the time, had felt very regrettable.

  Lost in thought, Kim Jong Un suggested building a gymnasium.

  His suggestion represented his affectionate intention to let the campers conduct diverse activities irrespective of weather.

  Reaching the sandy beach, he looked at the bathing resort and the indoor swimming pool next to it for a while. And he said the indoor swimming pool should be removed and shower rooms and bathing booths built there.

  He went on to say that the indoor swimming pool should be built near the playground.

  After a while, he stressed the need to build a gymnasium beside the new indoor swimming pool and took all measures to reconstruct the camp.

  Afterwards, he called at the Songdowon International Children’s Camp under reconstruction to learn in detail about the progress of the project.

  Looking at the wide playground, he said running tracks should be made and artificial turf laid on the football pitch.

  And he added that nothing should be spared for the children, the priceless treasures of the country.

  Afterwards, he took part in the inaugural ceremony of the Songdowon International Children’s Camp. When he visited the camp again two months later, he was very satisfied to look round the newly-installed steep water slide and different other places.

  Under his loving care, the wealth for the children is on the increase and their happy laughter gets louder with each passing day.
