Report of 26th KFA UK Film Night

The Korean Friendship Association of the UK (KFA UK ) held its 26th Film night on the 28th of April at 1900 hours BST with the participation of members of KFA UK and also guests from KFA Canada , KFA Germany , the People’s Korea Initiative of Poland , Turkey and USA .

The feature film ‘Urban Girl Comes to Get Married ‘ was shown . This is a wonderful film showing the reality of the DPRK socialist countryside . The central plot of the film revolves around a love story between a clothes designer,Ri Hyang from a factory in Pyongyang and a young farm worker Song Sik .It can be said that the film symbolised the alliance between the workers and peasants of the DPRK . The film had a sweet happy ending; the two main characters get married . Seen at the end of the film are inspiring scenes of harvesting in the socialist countryside.

Participants said that it was a wholesome film which depicted romantic relations between people in a way totally different to the decadent films of the West .

The film night concluded at 2020 hours BST.
